Alessandra, a native Italian, moved to the United States with her family as a teenager. Shortly after graduating from college she found her way to the North End and has been a resident of this neighborhood since 2004. While pursuing a career in Immigration Law, she had her first experience with yoga in April 2005. It was a guided Primary Series class taught by Alicia Orr; she knew ever since that day that she wanted to explore the magic behind this experience and continued to practice with Alicia as her teacher. She has been fortunate enough over the years to travel throughout the US and study with many senior teachers and in 2007 co-founded North End Yoga. In the fall of 2011 she made her first trip to Mysore, India to study at the Shri K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute.
